It seems that the lip-sync mostly took priority in this. While it's good to practise, it's not the main aspect of the animation. It's good to practise character, and how their body gets that across, what they're feeling, why they're feeling it and how through the subtleties of their body movements. At the moment it seems as if the character animation took a backseat, but look at some animations and movies to see how they PUSH the characters in everything they say, every part of their body, their face, their movements and expressions, and try not to keep things so static.
