The camerawork is legitimately polished, which make some of the movments seem cruder than they are.

You've got the basics down, you just need to learn how to perform holds and have the characters less floaty. Have more detail in and inbetween each movement and poses and you'll get a lot more out of your animation.
For example at frame 70 the dad's fingers are straight and lifeless.
at around frame 100 everything is moving at a linear pace, try to create more ease in and ease outs to create more uneven speeds in every single action and your characters will feel more life like.
