Ok, these are just stuck in place going through the mouth motions like a very old 3D game.

Go search the forum here and youtube on "the 12 Principles of Animation" if you haven't already. Lack of any head or body movements at all really hurts this entry, as does the lack of emotional expressiveness in the faces. The 12 Principles will help you a lot.

Maybe half the mouth movements from what you have now, I feel like it is a bit to robotic.

Learning lipsync, I see! Good initiative. With lipsync, you don't need a frame for each letter. What you want is enough movement to tell what words are being said with enough leeway to seem natural, because half of talking is back in your throat. Record yourself saying something in the mirror and watch your mouth closely, then use that as reference for your next animation. Good luck!
