Honestly..I hate to say it, but I feel like it's a " muscle memory" of laziness. Nothing seems seems to be drawn at the same time, inbetween poses are sketchy and undrawn over, and I don't know if the blue character is intentionally overexposed to hide lip movement, or to save on animation methods.
