I see what you're doing here, and the comedic beat at the end could work...if it were sooner.
The biggest thing is to stop animating your camera. It's so all over the place that I couldn't figure out what was happening at all. I had to watch it 2 or 3 times before I could actually see the animation happening.
Once you have that down, putting some full body mechanics on your characters will help ground the scene. The guy at the end would also get into his last pose pretty quickly once he realizes the snail is going too slow. Keep at it!
