You should try to break up the scene a bit and not have the character in the same body pose throughout. Maybe have the one standing do inventory from the shelves or something either at the beginning or during the piece at one point, then have him face the guy at the register.

David S. Rodriguez:

This is a great animation with a busy but undistracted background with the amphibian characters colored white. I find using the tongue and stopping it with the hand to be clever and unique, but I cannot vote this as superb because the characters are somewhat transparent.
