A few too many fairly obvious hand gestures.. The lip sync is good (could benefit from some additional polishing - "spaceship" doesn't read very well). His steps are floaty, especially passing behind the chair (and the chair matched with the sound effect is not really working for me). Overall, you've created a character full of hope (that really comes across well) and the animation is a strong foundation for something even greater with additional polishing.
