Maybe try using a 3D software like Blender as reference to make sure that the nose movements stays anchored to the face. Like simple 3D shapes for the head. Or use real life acting reference.

Description: I created this character on Illustrator and then I created the rig using DUIK in After Effects. It was my first time rigging a character this way, so I hope you like it. The animation is created on After Effects too.
